Infrastructure Specialist—DB Management

Location: Marlton, NJ

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and working experience with databases
  • Five or more years of experience in database design or maintenance
  • Five or more years experience working with database and system maintenance procedures
  • Five or more years experience working with database performance tuning
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Designs, implements, and maintains automated systems and applications programs for data resource management.
  • Plans and designs databases, storage structures, and access strategies; determines the content of databases and maintains integrity of data dictionary;
  • Provides for security and validation of data for recovery procedures; documents data entities, structures, access procedures, and security provisions;
  • Implements vendor enhancements to database software; monitors efficiency of databases and related software; and advises and assists applications personnel as needed in conversion of systems to databases.
  • May operate as a task leader, providing work direction to junior staff members.
  • Performs work on moderately complex to complex assignments.
  • Performs assignments with limited guidance from senior members of the technical staff and management regarding desired results.
